Solarflair: Domestic Install Frodsham
Supplier: Solarflair Ltd
Customer: Mr Griffiths
Location: Frodsham, Cheshire
Summary of the Project

A fairly typical domestic install. As with all retrofit jobs, the existing single coiled hot water cylinder was removed and replaced with a twin coiled similar sized cylinder.
The solar panels were fitted on the south facing slate roof with the pitch of the roof being almost ideal. We used two Sonnenkraft VTC10 evacuated tube panels giving a total collecting area of 3.2 sq metres. It is estimated that these will produce approximately 2000kwh/annum and a reduction in carbon emissions of approx 6ookg/annum. As the boiler is oil fired this should also equate to substantial cash savings.
Mr.Griffiths qualified for a grant of approx. 25% and a further £400 grant from the Low Carbon Buildings Program
