Hundreds of London residential social housing high-rise blocks lack fire risk assessments
Further tower blocks in London have been found which do not have a valid fire risk assessment in place, bringing the total to nearly 500, according to BBC News, London, report.
Although required by law to carry out fire risk assessments on social housing high-rise blocks several more councils have now told BBC London they have not done so.
Further, it has become clear that no single body - government, fire service or local authorities - takes responsibility for providing a clear picture of whether tower blocks are fire checked.
The revelations come almost three months after a fire at Lakanal House claimed the lives of six people.
